New Internet for Geography tutorial

Intute has launched a new edition of the Internet for Geography online tutorial in the Virtual Training Suite. The tutorial is free to use, and aims to help students develop Internet research skills to help with university courses in Geography.

Internet for Geography takes around an hour to complete and offers a tour of key websites for geography and guidance on Internet searching and critical evaluation of Internet resources. It includes some lively success stories describing some practical examples of students using the Internet to support their geography courses.

The tutorial has been completely updated and revised by John Blunden-Ellis, Subject Liaison Librarian at the John Rylands University Library, The University of Manchester, and is based on an original version by Pete Maggs, Liaison Librarian at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Internet for Geography” will be updated and maintained by staff at Intute: Science, Engineering and Technology.
