This report from the World Bank, released in 2006, reports on how countries in the Middle East intend to utilise revenue streams deriving from the oil boom in the 1970's and 1980's. Paying down debt, building up substantial savings and creating oil stabilisation funds are all strategies being adopted by oil producers. However, this windfall has not translated to some of the more resource-poor economies in the area, such as Morocco and Lebanon.

Its objectives include "promoting rational energy policies in a global context through co-operative relations with non-member countries, industry and international organisations". There are many reports on the site, but most have to be paid for. However the site contains a free oil market report, which is a short term analysis of the oil market containing statistics about demand, supply, stocks, trade, prices and refinery activity. The report is in PDF form, and is published monthly. There is also some information on the site about climate change, and the Kyoto Protocol (including the Protocol's full-text).
