It studies development policy in Africa, with an emphasis on applied research rather than purely theoretical issues. Articles are offered from 1994 to the present day. The following subjects are covered: macroeconomic policies, private sector development, capital flows and building infrastructure. The website gives information about submitting articles and subscribing. Submissions can be in English or French. The full-text version is only available for subscribers, but contents lists and abstracts are available to anyone.

This site provides access to the searchable library catalogue and journal articles database of the British Library for Development Studies (BLDS) at the Institute of Development Studies. The database contains records of documents held by the library, including all serial titles, monographs acquired since 1987, and journal articles selectively indexed since 1990. The collection comprises literature, in English and other European languages, relating to economic and social development, both rural and urban. Specific areas of interest include: health, education, communication, industrial development, debt and adjustment, population studies, gender and development, the environment, participatory appraisal, human rights, good government and democratisation. Amongst the types of material represented are commercial, institutional and government publications (including national and sectoral plans) from developing countries, together with a selection of periodicals and non-published material from these regions. The BLDS is a depository library of the United Nations, the South Pacific Commission and the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade. In addition, it collects material from those institutes, NGO's and commercial publishers of developed countries, that publish on issues relating to developing regions or development theory. Researchers are welcome to visit the library, and may take out a subscription to enable borrowing rights as well.

You can find contact information, care of the Environmental Assessment Institute, and read the papers written by the panel. Priorities identified were: civil conflicts, climate change, diseases, education, financial stability, governance and more. It provides real-time information on state measures taken during the current global downturn that are likely to affect foreign commerce. It goes beyond other monitoring initiatives by identifying the trading partners likely to be harmed by these measures. Trade measures are listed chronologically, with users able to filter results by the affected trading partner, implementing jurisdiction or trade sector. The measures are briefly described and have accompanying comments that consider whether there was any evidence-based deliberation in their formulation.
