Online guide to researching foreign law written by Mary Rumsey who is Foreign, Comparative & International Law Librarian at the University of Minnesota. The guide was published in 2005 and updated in 2008 on the Globalex website and is made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The author focuses on finding the laws of countries other than the U.S and emphasises statute rather than case law. The guide gives references and links to suggested starting points for research and useful starting points for common legal subjects including family law, immigration, tax, intellectual property, commercial law and transnational litigation. There are strategies for searching library catalogues and information on where to look on subscription databases Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw. The author also suggests key Internet sites and periodical indexes for foreign law.

The Commonwealth Legal Information Institute (CommonLII) is a cooperative legal information initiative led by AustLII (the Australasian Legal Information Institute) providing access to freely available legal materials from all Commonwealth countries. CommonLII contains over 400 databases providing case law, legislation, treaties and law reform reports from more than 50 Commonwealth and common law countries and territories. Some of these materials are held by other Legal Information Institutes including AustLII (Australia), BAILII (United Kingdom), CanLII (Canada), CyLaw (Cyprus), HKLII (Hong King), NZLII (New Zealand), PacLII (Pacific Islands) and SAFLII (South Africa). This legal database is a collection of employment and conditions of employment laws made freely available by the Conditions of Work and Employment Programme (TRAVAIL) at the International Labour Organization (ILO). The database is organised into three sections covering maternity protection, minimum wages and working time. Legislation relating to maternity protection covers maternity leave, protection from discrimination and health protection. The working time database covers overtime, annual leave and part time working and the minimum wages database includes legislation dealing with the level of the minimum wage in the national currency, categories of workers entitled to receive the minimum wage and control mechanisms. It is possible to search the laws in force in ILO member countries, relating to these areas of employment protection, by country, region, subject and keyword. An outline of the law is given along with a link to the full text legislation. Help pages and a database summary for each section are also provided.

The site is hosted by the Electronic Frontier Foundation. National copyright laws are accessed via a drop down menu listing countries included on the site. Each country section has an introduction to the country, details of membership to international organisations such as World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and links to full text national copyright laws. A blog gives news of recent additions to the site and development of copyright laws around the world. Users are invited to suggest laws to include and any updates or corrections needed to the site.

Online collection of disability discrimination laws from around the world made freely available on the Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund (DREDF) Website. The site lists more than 40 countries who have enacted anti-discrimination laws relating to people with disabilities. Most of the laws are given in full but some entries have just the sections relevant to disability discrimination. Translations (sometimes in the form of summaries) are given for non-English materials along with a source for the translation. The site also provides a list of sources for the various laws.

FLAG is hosted at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS) in London and its development was financed by the Research Support Libraries Programme. The Gender Law Library is a collection of national legal provisions impacting women's economic status in 183 economies.
