Centre for Literacy in Primary Education (CLPE)

The Centre for Literacy in Primary Education (CLPE) is a professional development centre for teachers in nursery, primary, and special schools. Based in Southwark, London, the CLPE is primarily responsible for running classroom-based research and development projects for teachers, INSET courses and conferences on topics such as literacy, assessing progress in reading and writing and educational policy. CLPE also produces a range of in-house publications in the fields of primary English, language and literacy, record-keeping and assessment, including the journal 'Language Matters'. There is a library at the Centre with a stock of 20,000 items for use by course members, visiting teachers, educationalists and the CLPE Network of School Associates.

This is the web site of the Danish Centre of Educational Environment "an independent national centre, working to secure a good environment for children in day-care facilities and for education at schools and institutes of education." Established in April 2002, DCUM aims to contribute to ensuring and developing a good educational environment in Denmark, by offering advice and counselling to pupils, students, parents, teachers, places of education, authorities, etc. in matters relating to the educational environment.
