http://www.channel4.com/health/microsites/H/health/magazine/conjoined/

Joined: The World of Siamese Twins is a fascinating website offering useful information on the subject of conjoined (or 'Siamese') twins. After briefly describing the few known cases through the centuries, it discusses how they are formed and the different types of conjoined twins that have been identified. It then explores the viability of surgery to separate them and the ethical, religious and cultural considerations involved in such a monumental decision. Several high-profile cases are highlighted, including that of Laleh and Ladan Bijani, and 'Jodie and Mary'. Links are provided to relevant websites, including those specifically addressing the two aforementioned cases. This website, which is maintained by Channel 4 Television, would be an interesting resource for students on medical ethics courses.

http://www.marxists.org/subject/women/index.htm

Women and Marxism is part of the Marxist Internet Archive (MIA). This is a well maintained site that provides a broad range of writing on women's issues and Marxism from almost fifty nineteenth and twentieth century writers. Though not all the authors are Marxists their contributions are included to give context and reference to the cultural and political milieu in which women worked and agitated during their struggles. There are few references to contemporary Marxism-Feminism, the majority of transcriptions being represented by classic texts. Simple to navigate the site is divided into three sections; non-fiction authors, fiction and poetry, and subjects. Subjects is sub-divided into fourteen sections including sex relations, marriage, family, reproduction, labour and suffrage. The larger MIA site is administered and built by volunteers from all over the world, most of whom are non-academics.
