The Batch Knowledge Centre is an initiative of Delft University of Technology within the framework of the Economy, Ecology and Technology (E.E.T.) Programme whose aim is to combine economic growth and ecological sustainability in the development of fundamentally new technologies.

The site gives details about the project and its research activities. These come under three subprojects: planning and scheduling (in Dutch); integrated batch plant management; and recipe management. An overview of available software for batch management and a list of literature published by the Centre are available. There are also a couple of online tutorials and other information about the relevant standards. Twelve chairs are used to illustrate the author's basic principles of sustainable product design. This section contains further examples, and an article, on sustainability and design. Other sections highlight bicycles, in which examples are given of bikes whose interesting features can be plugged together to make an ideal bike, and solar factories.
