3D virtual buildings project

http://www.brocku.ca/3DVirtualBuildings/

3D Virtual Buildings Project is an online teaching tool set up by researchers at the National Research Council of Canada and participating Canadian universities to enable Canadian students "to generate representations of Canadian cities, representations that are textual and three dimensional". Teaching materials are available to encourage historical research and to translate cultural historical data into three-dimensional models. One proclaimed aim of the site is to contribute to the potential of computing in the humanities and social sciences. Users will observe that the site is unfortunately overshadowed by cumbersome frame-driven navigation.
