Specialising in hand-tinted black and white photographs, they are not computer-aided in any way. The website presents archives of photographs going back to 1980. Sections include: vintage photos; original photos; re-prints; vintage post-cards that have been hand-coloured; and photographs that have been inspired by famous painters. The website also includes a photographic dictionary of terms.

Part of the Cheshire County Council website, the arts service section is a guide to the council's cultural strategy (available in full as a Word document), art events and education in Cheshire as well as being a comprehensive resource for artists, makers and event organisers. The 'artists tool kit' section of the website is an excellent guide to setting up and running a group, arts event or activity, with advice in a step-by-step format on everything from budgeting, marketing and safety down to toilet facilities. The artists' tool kit has sample documents available to download as Word documents, for example, an evaluation form and various check-lists.

The artists' directory is a searchable database of artists working in the area and it can be searched by art form, specialism, name, age range and special focus. Each artist has a page with general details and some have images and/or personal website addresses. Application forms to be included in the directory and guidance notes can be downloaded in Word and PDF formats.

'Chainlinks' is a regular information bulletin for artists; a Word document with opportunities, news and events, it can be downloaded from the website or received by email. Organised by discipline, there are general introductions to each area of the arts, for example, Dance, with local organisations, events and groups listed and links to relevant websites. In addition, the website has contact details for all arts officers in the district as well as the council's partners in creative industries. Two studies commissioned by Cheshire County Council’s Cultural Services Unit on the 'Creative Industries in Cheshire' in 2000 and 2002 can be read on the website in Word documents.
