A-Bomb www Museum
Description: The A-bomb www Museum website was set up by Japanese and foreign academics based in Hiroshima. It brings together a range of information, images and opinions on the atomic bombing of the city and its consequences, and provides a forum for the discussion of nuclear disarmament and the promotion of peace. Sections of the site include: the stories of A-bomb survivors (hibakusha); images of exhibits at the Peace Memorial Museum; photos of the memorials and monuments in the Peace Park; interviews with current inhabitants of the city; messages from the mayors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki; and readers' comments. The site is available in parallel English and Japanese versions.
