| Description: | Thulika is a website which presents a large number of short stories and other writings originally in Telugu translated into English. The front page of the site makes it appear that this is a much smaller and more personal site than is actually the case: there are links to the works of the site's author, comments on other literature by the same author, and critiques of the works of a Telugu academic by the site's author. Clicking on the link 'author index' towards the bottom of the page, however, brings up a very long list of works translated and available freely from the site, as well as an archive of editorials and commentaries. This is an impressive undertaking which will be of interest to scholars of Indian literature and which makes available to a wider audience a previously hidden body of work. |
