Generación del 27 : Residencia de Estudiantes
Alternative title:

Generation of '27 : Student Residence
Description: The website "Generación del 27 : Residencia de Estudiantes" reflects the activity of the organisation with the same name. It therefore keeps the spirit of the Student Residence in Madrid which in the 1920s became the meeting point for a large amount of Spanish intellectuals, including Federico García Lorca and Salvador Dalí. Apart from an introductory guide to the history of the Residence, students and researchers may browse a list of the organisation's publications, and the bulletin "Residencia" (1997-99). There are also links to the eye-catching Silver Age Gateway ("Portal Edad de Plata") and the Virtual Archive of the Silver Age ("Archivo Virtual de la Edad de Plata"). For those able to travel to Madrid there is a calendar of events, conferences and exhibitions which are held in the actual building of the old residence. The website offers the possibility of joining the Association of Friends of the Student Residence ("Asociación de Amigos de la Residencia de Estudiantes). Important collections are kept in the actual archives of the building, yet its digitalisation is still in progress. The website, as well as the organisation, is developed and managed by the CSIC (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas).
