Sopranos and tenors under 32 years of age and mezzosopranos, contraltos, baritones and basses under 34 are eligible. An application form can be downloaded from the website. Winners of the singing competition are awarded the 'Livia Dionisi' special prize and attend a two-year course where they are trained "in certain aspects [of opera singing] not covered in school programmes".
