The first chapter looks at the garden city movement, and includes information about Letchworth Garden City, Welwyn Garden City, and Hampstead Garden Suburb. The second and third chapters discuss the subject of the postwar New Town housing project, and the changing priorities in this area caused by the destruction of the Second World War.
