Association for Asian Studies (AAS)
Description: This is the official website of the Association for Asian Studies, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. The association covers all aspects of Asian Studies, including literature; art; religion; philosophy; language; history; and cinema. As well as information on the association's annual meeting and regional conferences and publications, the site provides details of the members of the various councils from which it is formed. Since access to many resources on the site is limited to AAS members (a relatively recent change), the most useful portion of the website to the casual browser is the 'Links' section. Here users will find links to sources of grants, gateways to other Asian Studies' resources, an Asia photo gallery (covering contemporary images), and a list of related organisations. A link to the vast Bibliography of Asian Studies Online is included, but access to this is subscription-only.
