Established in 1963, CPAWS is dedicated to the protection of wildlife and habitats in Canada's national parks and other wilderness areas. The site introduces the parks and reserves, plants and animals, and the nature and environment of this region. Another feature is the series of wildlife fact sheets (in PDF requiring Adobe Acrobat Reader) that look at the conservation status, threats, ecology and distribution of a number of different species.
