Collection development framework and policy

We evaluate all suggested sites, and accept resources that are useful for learning, teaching and research in UK higher education.

When evaluating resources, we take into account points such as the resource's purpose and audience, its authority, accuracy, currency and the coverage and depth of the information.

We include commercial or subscription/fee-based sites only when they are directly relevant to our audience as academic resources. We do not include print-only materials, nor do we include individual articles from journals online, which may be located via the standard bibliographic databases.
