The site provides detailed information about fallopian tube anatomy and tubal ligation. Tubal ligation procedures described include Pomeroy tubal ligation, tubal rings and clips, monopolar and bipolar tubal coagulation, Parkland and Irving procedures, fimbriectomy, and hysteroscopic procedures (Essure and Adiana).  <description>National Cancer Peer Review (NCPR) is a national quality assurance programme for NHS cancer services. It involves self-assessment by cancer service teams and external reviews of teams conducted by professional peers, against nationally agreed quality measures. The site aims to publish reports regarding individual teams or services, and annual peer review reports providing overarching information about all services within a particular Cancer Network or providing a national summary. The site also features resources for cancer teams which include information on specific types of cancer, documents specifically relating to Northern Ireland, and other key documents. Some parts of the site are password-protected. </description>

A range of resources are also available for junior medical trainees and nurses who have no previous experience of intensive care.  <description>The UK Stem Cell Tool Kit is a reference tool for those who wish to develop a programme of human stem cell research and manufacture, including clinical applications. Provided by the Medical Research Council (MRC) the Tool Kit can be viewed by regulatory routes in three different ways, either by ‘map view’, ‘question view’, or ‘project view’. Users can navigate their way through the regulations by responding to a series of key questions and building their own route map. Also available are six research scenarios of examples of stem cell projects from the real world and a glossary of useful terms. Information is provided on those organisations involved with the development of the Tool Kit and constructive feedback is welcomed. </description>

 <description>The Human Tissue Authority (HTA) revised codes of practice came into force in September 2009. The revised codes provide guidance and advice and expected standards for all the sectors regulated by the HTA. Each code is provided in an interactive format providing easy access to the different sections, with links to other relevant issues and documents and a pop-up glossary. There are nine codes, covering post-mortem examination; consent, donation of solid organs for transplantation; anatomical examination; disposal of human tissue; public display; research; import and export of human bodies, body parts, and tissue; and donation of allogeneic bone marrow and peripheral blood stem cells for transplantation.

Reports are available for 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2009. Reports were not published for 2006-2008. The 2009 report is a 40-page document produced by the Department of Health together with the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI). It includes an introduction, summary and commentary, sections on supply factors and demand factors, the regulatory environment, and performance.</description>

 <description>Published in March 2010 this "Flash Eurobarometer" document from the European Commission is a 142-page report on a survey conducted by the Gallup Organization. It includes an introduction, main findings, and chapters on aspects of the pandemic influenza H1N1 (swine flu) outbreak of 2009, including awareness, worries and beliefs, level of information, trust in sources of information, media coverage, measures against the disease, and opinions about vaccination. The survey was conducted in November 2009 in more than 28,000 individuals across the 27 European Union member states, plus Norway, Switzerland and Iceland. Much of the data is presented in graphical or tabular form.</description>
